Acceptable Use Policy

All servers are subject to our AUP below



All servers supplied by Dediboxes LTD are subject to the following Acceptable Use Policy, any breach of this policy will constitute a breach of contract on the part of the customer and render the server liable to immediate suspension and/or terminateion depending on the serverity of the breach:


Prohibited services and activities

We don't allow customers to host the following services on their servers. This is not an exhaustive list and may be expanded at any time if we discover certain activities which cause problems for us or other clients:

- Tor Exit nodes

- Unconfirmed mailing lists

- Port scanners (scanning other servers on the internet)

- Open proxy servers

- Hosting websites for which spam mail is sent elsewhere to promote, so called 'spamvertised sites'

- Open proxy servers

- Attempting to hack/breach/gain unauthorised access to any other internet connected system

- Transmitting malware, any

- Open proxy servers

- Anything else which causes reputational damage to Dediboxes LTD

- Anything else which generates abuse reports or causes your server IP to be listed in any industry blacklists


Network

- Servers supplied with a fair usage port rather than a fixed amount of transfer are not designed to have full port usage 24/7.

- Servers supplied with a fixed transfer amount burst to the full port speed when required, but will be throttled to 10mbit once the limit is hit, unless more transfer is purchased.


Mail Transmission

- No sending of spam mail is permitted under any circumstances. If you offer access to your server to others, such as operating a shared hosting services, you are liable for their outgoing mail.

- If you cause any of our IP addresses to be listed on any industry blacklist such as Spamhaus, Spamcop etc, then you will imediately address the underlying issue and request the IP be delisted, failure to do so will result in port 25 being disabled, or the network port entirely. We also reserve the right to terminate services if it's deemed to be a case of deliberate spamming.


Abuse reports

- If we receive an abuse report related to your server IP, we will forward it on and expect the related activity to cease within 24 hours or sooner, depending on the severity. If necessary, we may disable the network port until you respond.

- Servers will be suspended if no response is received within 24 hours to forwarded abuse reports.


Network abuse

The following activities will cause services to be suspended or terminated:

- Causing a DOS attack to originate from Dediboxes infrastructure.

- Transmitting invalid traffic from your server.

- IP Spoofing: attempting to use any IP address other than the one assigned to you.
